Early works in oil (scroll to bottom) were inspired during kayak trips on the Great Lakes. Newer works with spray paint on steel have a similar origin and also satisfy an experimental interest. Spray paint limits my control, color pallet, and leaves more to chance. I respond to unplanned results throughout the process and I incorporate rust into the finished paintings.
